Amir Arrington

Amir Arrington is a Grammy-nominated musician, songwriter, producer, audio engineer, entrepreneur, electrical mechanic, Mensa-certified individual, and community leader from Toledo, Ohio. He is the bass guitarist for The Movement Simply and the founder of Studio 155th Community Outreach and Studio 155th in South Chicago. Amir began his creative journey as a DJ before discovering his natural talent for bass guitar and audio engineering. His musical style blends gospel, modern jazz fusion, African and Brazilian rhythms, and electronic influences. Since relocating to the Chicago area in 2007, he has continued developing his craft as a performer and storyteller while serving as the house bass guitarist at Holy Temple Cathedral. In addition to his creative work, Amir applies his technical skills as an electrical mechanic and brings an analytical perspective shaped by his Mensa certification. Outside of music and engineering, he enjoys roller skating, which reflects his energetic, adventurous, and expressive personality. Growing up, Amir used music as a positive alternative to the negative influences around him. That experience shaped his belief that every person is born with a special gift that deserves to be discovered and nurtured. He now brings his life experience, emotional depth, creativity, intelligence, and authentic presence to acting, approaching each role with discipline, honesty, and a strong connection to character.
