Antonio Iglesia

Antonio Javier Iglesia is an Afro-Latino actor, retired U.S. Navy Fleet Marine Force Hospital Corpsman, and mixed martial arts practitioner. Born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Antonio brings a broad range of lived experience to his performances—from urban environments and periods of homelessness and gang affiliation to more than two decades of military service and professional leadership. He portrayed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in four performances of Ahimsa, Non-Violence, the Forgotten Message, presented by S.G. Theater Group, Inc. in 2014. His combination of life experience, military discipline, martial arts training, and leadership gives him an authentic presence suited for dramatic, action, military, historical, authority, father, mentor, and complex character roles.
