Born in Philadelphia, Asia lived in various cities growing up before finally settling. Asia Sparks knew it was time to show the world just how talented she truly is. Now she expresses her creative energy and dynamic flow as an equally and multi- skilled talented rapper/ actress vocalist. With her debut film, Hollywood Hearts, playing the leading role of Hunter Mayo premiered on BET Star Cinemas today, playing lead role of the Lady in Yellow In For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When At The End Of Their Rainbows, and last but not least a star performance in Devin The Stage Play ! Asia branched off into film making, producing, and writing her own scripts set to debut 2022-2023 entitled Wake Up. Asia has worked on productions internationally as well, She was head of set photography on London Film “The Witches in the Sands” Directed by Tony Mardon. As well as, landing a feature on the new Sopranos film, Made in Chinatown, with all of this on the rise. I think it’s safe to say that Asia Sparks has risen to the occasion with a genuine spirit and hard work. Following all of her success Asia Sparks has given back to her community in an amazing way. Asia had performed for community gatherings such as 100.3 the beat Peace in the Streets, the march to unite Philadelphia. She performed at concerts to fight HIV/AIDS, Cancer, and Hunger. As well as, giving back to her community in a philanthropic way. Asia hosts back to school drives annually, as well as grocery give outs, coat drives, and community resources for support. Also organizing and uniting protest to fight against police brutality with the Hands Up Don’t Shoot Group PHL, BLM Philadelphia, and Until Freedom. This was not an easy task for a South Philly female rapper. In protest, Asia went to support those who were getting hurt from the protest with her background in nursing she’s aided protester when they’ve had head injuries, wounds, and tear gassed getting them to the hospital and to safety. She’s also helped organize communities with co founding foundation Wake Up Your Mind Community Outreach Programs. She is founder of the humanitarian effort campaign the, You and Me Campaign, Causing Asia Sparks to receive a citation from the city of Philadelphia for her community service and dedication to the youth. As well as, working hand in hand with Congress officials to pass a law in all 50 states of America, to pass a bill that will mandate police officers to teach in schools of urban communities which will require them to go for additional training, frequent background checks, and community outreach. While building after school programs for the millennium generation “Millennial Sister Circle” & “Millennial Brothers Circle” and this is just the beginning. Asia Sparks has directed, shot, and edited her own Docuseries discussing generational traumas that urban communities commonly face with episodes on domestic violence, suicide, ptsd, and more. The Docuseries is called Wake Up Your Minds that will be premiering 2022, and when we ask how she does it? She simply says, “ The lord is my strength and I’m here to serve others like Christ would. People like me are the proof that there is a living God that will never give up on you and I won’t either”. In 2021, Asia received a Global Activism Award entitled the “Vivid Award” and a Artist of the year award for social activist award ceremony the C.O.L.L.A.B.
