Christy Joy McPherson

Hi! I’m Christy Joy, a Tennessee girl at heart who grew up in Knoxville, where my love for theater first began. The stage has always felt like home, and I’ve always been drawn to stories that make people laugh, cry, think, and leave feeling a little more hopeful than when they arrived. In 2011, I moved to Denver as a single mom looking for a fresh start and a new chapter. Soon after arriving, I landed the lead role in a musical, playing a redneck fairy godmother who takes a little girl on a journey to discover what it really means to be a princess only to realize she already was one all along. Looking back, I can’t help but smile because that role became my own story of rediscovering identity, purpose, and courage. Today, I’m an Associate Pastor, host the Equipped with a Crown podcast, and love encouraging people to discover the best version of themselves. I’m deeply invested in my community, serving on the Human Relations Commission for the City of Aurora, and I’m passionate about bringing people together through compassion, creativity, and meaningful conversations. My love for storytelling has also led me behind the camera. I wrote, produced, and directed a short film called The Garden, a project that reminded me just how powerful stories can be to heal, inspire, and connect us. Whether I’m on stage, on set, or behind the scenes, I bring warmth, authenticity, humor, professionalism, and heart to every project. I love collaborating with creative people and telling stories that leave a lasting impact. I’d be honored to help bring your next story to life.
