Charles R. Sizemore

Ron Sizemore, age 73, was born in Hazard, Kentucky in 1953 but was raised most of his childhood life in Louisville, Kentucky. Parents were Charles Sizemore (Father) who worked primarily as a laborer and factory worker and Dolores Jean Sizemore (Mother) who spent most of her working life as a waitress in the same Italian Restaurant for 25 years. Both parents are deceased. Ron’s married, going on 42 years to Brenda Snipes, who he met in the Army when she was 19 and he was 30. He has two children, William Gilbert Sizemore (50) who currently works for he National Security Agency and is the father of Ron’s four grandchildren, and Hanna Faith Sizemore (21) currently a senior college student at Oklahoma City University pursuing a BA in Dance Performance and has the dream of someday performing on Broadway or the big screen. Ron graduated from Louisville Male High School in 1971, obtained a BA in Political Science & Journalism from Morehead State University in 1975, an MPA from University of Oklahoma, and an MS in Technology Management, from Embry-Riddle University in 2001. Ron had a long, more than 20 years, and highly successful US Army career entering service as a Second Lieutenant Military Intelligence Officer and Army Aviator following graduation from Morehead State University beginning in late 1975. Throughout both his military and subsequent civilian career he maintained a Top Secret-SCI/SAP security clearance for 42 years before fully retiring in 2018. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and earned the Master Aviator rating flying 8 different rotary and fixed wing intelligence collection aircraft in the US Army. He worked in a variety of highly sensitive intelligence and aviation assignments throughout the United States, Central and South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East in organizations including The Pentagon and the National Intelligence Community. He is a combat veteran of DESERT STORM and Operation UPHOLD DEMOCRACY and participated in numerous other classified and sensitive operations throughout his military career. Among his military decorations he is the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Legion of Merit, 3 Meritorious Service Medals, 2 Army Commendation Medals and numerous other military decorations and awards. His Army career culminated in his command of an elite US Army Military Intelligence Battalion that received the Most Outstanding Department of Defense Intelligence Organization Award for 1994 awarded by the Central Intelligence Agency. Ron retired from active duty in 1996 and began working in the defense industry for the next 22 years for General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and Rockwell Collins in various executive roles before retiring for the final time in 2018.
