Dee Thompson

Hi, my name is Dee Thompson and I’ve been in SAG-AFTRA since 1996. I bring a warm professional tall athletic looking African-American look to my character roles. I’ve starred, co-starred, stand-in, featured extra, extra and played many acting roles in film, television, commercials, industrials, theatre and productions. I’m the Magic Johnson photo double look alike. My charm and charisma I’m told is a plus when I’m booked for these roles. I’ve stood in professionally at all the award shows where a character matches my look, everyone from Charles Barkley to Bernie MAC. My improvised speeches are a plus at the rehearsals. I bring my retired U.S. NAVY experience, father and grandfather experience as well as volunteering in the community and mentoring to young folks experience. Having traveled the world and experienced much life gives me a wealth of knowledge to draw from to play different characters. I have a zest for life and approach it with great enthusiasm. I love what I do in entertainment and have a plethora of skills to choose from. I can go from quirky and goofy dad to the intimidating prison cell mate or squared away Navy Admiral. I’m a bestselling published author, country music singer on Spotify and worldwide music streams. I can sing pretty much any genre of music, read books to kids with character voices, cook, Dj/emcee, instructor for sports teams, organize and lead any event to success. I’m self driven and highly motivated with many interests in life. I’ve won on 2 national television game shows, command advanced twice in the military and named Sailor of the Year in the U.S. NAVY. If I can’t do it, then I’ll find out how to get it done. I’m definitely a team player when it comes to getting a mission completed. Accessible and ready to go at a moments notice and I can follow instructions to the latter. I’m the guy you want on your team.
