Herman Collazo

Most people spend their careers pretending to be heroes on screen. I spent 31 years serving as one in real life. I’m Herman Collazo, a retired Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputy with more than three decades of experience protecting judges, maintaining courtroom security, and serving my community. I’ve worked in high-pressure situations where calm, confidence, and professionalism weren’t acting—they were required. My journey didn’t end with retirement. After undergoing a total knee replacement, shoulder replacement, and treatment for prostate cancer, I chose not to slow down. Instead, I rebuilt myself physically and mentally, returning to the gym, pursuing fitness competitions, and proving that resilience doesn’t have an expiration date. I bring something to the screen that can’t be taught in an acting class: authenticity. Whether portraying law enforcement, security, military, a coach, a father, or a leader, I draw from real-life experience, discipline, and character developed over a lifetime of service. I’m not looking to play a role. I’m looking to bring real life to it.
