My name is Jay Laron. I've been acting since the early 90's. I started in Theatre and played a number of roles from Othello to Troy Maxon, Walter Lee, and Tom Robinson from To Kill A Mockingbird. I eventually moved to New York to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and completed my Associates in 2008. I was invited to do an additional year as a Company member of 2009. After school, I was able to attain representation and auditioned regularly. My first professional gig was on a sketch comedy show called The Whitest Kid U'Know I played a character named Bob in A Civil War on Drugs. I also managed to lans a role on a web series known as Six Of One, I played the character Russell. After my stint in New York I auditioned and made the cut for an internship at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The Internship was a condensed nine month version of their former Master's Program. My time there was extended as I accepted an invitation to be a counsellor of their Summer Arts Program the hold annually. I moved back home to Little Rock Arkansas and went back to school to complete my degree.Now here I am ready to dive back in... Wiser this time.
