Jaz-Rae Ramos is a New York–based actress, vocalist, performer, educator, and mother of three who comes from a family deeply rooted in entertainment. She began her professional career as a child, spending five years as a paid performer with the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus. Her early career took her to some of the country’s most celebrated stages, including Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, and the Kennedy Center. She had the honor of performing for President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton on two occasions and shared the stage with legendary artists including Plácido Domingo, Kathleen Battle, and Denyce Graves. She also worked as a child model for major brands including Burlington Coat Factory and appeared in educational video productions. Entertainment is part of Jaz-Rae’s family legacy. Her father, Apache Ramos, is known for his role as Orphan gang member Jesse in the cult-classic film The Warriors and his work in the Vamp Bikers trilogy. He also worked in the music industry as Head of A&R for Criminal Records, working with talent including The Fat Boys, New Edition, and Ready for the World. Her mother, Rae Chamblee, built her career in entertainment publicity, working with artists including The Sugarhill Gang, Eartha Kitt, and many others. Jaz-Rae later combined her love of performance, music, and children’s education by founding Jaz’s Music Room, a mobile music and edutainment company serving children throughout New York City. As its founder and lead educator, she created engaging experiences combining live music, movement, storytelling, performance, and interactive learning. Today, Jaz-Rae is a proud New York mother of three returning to the entertainment industry with a lifetime of experience behind her. With roots spanning film, music, theater, modeling, and entertainment, she brings a distinctive combination of natural presence, musical ability, humor, warmth, and authentic New York energy to her work.
