I am Joe Anderson. For the past 36 years of my career, my time was centrally focused in all realms of the healthcare system. I retired from my last position as COO. During that time I physically worked ICU, emergency rooms and surgical theatre as a first assist to surgeons. My path moved to management after finishing my undergraduate with a major in Biochemistry. I then furthered my education to receive a Master’s in Healthcare Care Administration. During these years, I worked in several area or regional thespian groups that reached the span of Pigeon Forge, TN. I worked as an actor as well as director for some groups performing in the East Tennessee area. During that time I served as Chairman for six different Boards. I was also elected as a County Commissioner where I also served as chairman. My experience and expanded knowledge of how healthcare and government agencies actually work has given me a unique perspective of every day interactions with people, physicians, nurses, patients and government officials as well as the entities associated. In addition, I also worked with several couples by financially supporting an orphanage in India. I traveled there in 2004 before the Tsunami that hit Southern India where I was located. While there I received an Honorary Doctorate degree in Divinty. While there for for four weeks, I worked with orphans and the people any many villages. My love for culture outside the USA grew when I finished my undergraduate degree at King’s College in New Castle, England. With all this said, my life began in San Diego, California where my father ended his Naval service. He then chose to move our family back to East Tennessee. I have spent my life learning by watching others in order to really understand each person’s human experience. I have seen the pain, the frustration, the joy and mundane. Complexities, while seeking the truth or reconciliation of the truth in those moments have been profound. I believe and know that I can portray and reel in an audience with authentic tone, emotion and physical presence. It is a dream that I have side lined for too long. I look at my parents now, (where they are both in hospice care and I’m their main caregiver), that life is too short. If you’re a casting agent or director reading this, I genuinely appreciate sharing just a few of my life experiences. My belief is that I can carry over these experiences into a larger medium, while working with others to bring a story to screen.
