My name is Joe Rhea. I have been a professional/inspirational speaker for the last 20 years plus. I was catastrophically injured my playing football at age 14. As a result I have published an autobiography "When Life Knocks The Hell Out of You: Beat The Odds." I won the first honorary ESPY award for Perseverance in 2020. On 9/11/84 I broke my neck making a tackle and was paralyzed from the neck down. I was told I would never walk again. But that was not the answer for me. So I made a promise that if I had an opportunity to beat the odds, I would do just that. It's amazing what one can learn as a result. So today when I set my mind to something and am given the opportunity I am able to accomplish great things. I am a father to the best 17 yr old daughter and I just love her so much.
