I, Mr. Joshua Shuster, am a dedicated educational professional with over a decade of experience in transforming students' academic journeys. As the Academic Intervention Teacher at St. Helen, I specialize in providing individualized support in Mathematics and Reading for students from 1st through 8th grade. With a strong academic foundation, including a degree in Biology & Education-Psychology from Ball State University (2013), I have built an impressive career combining traditional education with entrepreneurial ventures in educational services. My experience includes founding and operating a successful Tutoring and Behavioral Service business in Indianapolis (2016-2022) and currently running an Executive Function and Test Prep company. Known affectionately as "Mr. Shu," I have established myself as a trusted educational resource for families across prestigious Chicago schools, including Mitchell, Latin, Jones College Prep, Lane Tech, and Whitney Young. My innovative MAPS Method has effectively transformed bright but struggling students into confident, independent learners. I recently completed my M.Ed. at Loyola University with a specialized endorsement in English Language Learners (ELL). I am committed to furthering my expertise through an upcoming Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership.
