Josh Janssen brings 35 years of real-world fire service and emergency command experience to his work as an actor. His career has taken him from remote wildfire deployments, where he lived and worked in the wilderness for 20 to 30 days at a time, to commanding some of the most complex emergency incidents imaginable. As an Operations Chief and Incident Commander, Josh has led personnel through major fires, floods, mudslides, hurricanes, dam emergencies, pandemics, and other high-risk, rapidly evolving incidents. These experiences required him to remain calm when circumstances were anything but calm, make critical decisions with limited information, and lead thousands of people through situations where the consequences were very real. That experience translates naturally to the screen. Josh brings an authentic command presence, confidence under pressure, situational awareness, and emotional restraint developed over decades of leadership in real emergencies. It is a lived-in quality that is difficult to manufacture and impossible to fully teach in acting school. When Josh portrays a fire officer, law-enforcement leader, military commander, executive, or other authority figure, he doesn't have to imagine what it feels like to carry responsibility when everyone in the room is looking to you for the next decision. He has lived it. That experience translates into an instinctive authenticity on camera, particularly in roles requiring leadership, confidence, composure, and authority. Some characters are studied.
