Kemi Badú

Hello, my name is Yvonne Fragelus but my performer/stage name is Kemi Badú. I am a Haitian American; model, artist and doula who loves creating and speaking languages. I speak; English, Haitian Creole and a good bit of Spanish. I can easily switch between my American (more natural accent) and my Haitian accent. I have been doing plays since I was 4, performing at the Madame C. J. Walker Theatre in Indianapolis, IN with the cast of “The Black Snowflake”. I had historically been a snowflake years prior; but that year I was understudy to both leads and stood in at rehearsals in the event someone was not there. I am comfortable on sets and under pressure and am extremely excited to bring parts of myself into any role I can. I was a wrestler in intermediate and high school. I also; swam, threw shot put/discus and played the viola. These are all things I still throughly enjoy doing today and could bring to a set. I’ve have been told I am naturally funny/witty and try to bring that into my current streams and content. I am an artist on most music platforms under the same name. My main goal is to be able to hold both of my passions; creating music and acting in roles that allow me to grow. Please feel free to contact me regarding any roles and negotiations!
