I’m a tattooed chef with Appalachian roots, a quick sense of humor, and a personality that tends to be a little different than people expect from the way I look. Professionally, I’ve spent years in kitchens, so I’m completely natural around knives, fire, equipment, food prep and the controlled chaos of restaurant service. My cooking draws heavily from Appalachian heritage, smoke, open fire and Southern food, but I like pushing those traditions into more creative and refined territory. On camera, I can lean into the rugged look—intimidating, blue-collar, outlaw, biker, rough-around-the-edges or aggressive—but that’s only part of my range. I’m naturally playful, comfortable improvising, and have a good ear for accents, dialects and character voices. Appalachian and Southern dialects are part of that range rather than my everyday speaking voice. I also enjoy the complete opposite of what my appearance suggests. I’m comfortable dropping the tough exterior when something calls for sincerity, vulnerability or a genuinely emotional connection. For unscripted and culinary television, I’m competitive without taking myself too seriously. I can talk trash, take a joke, make one at my own expense and keep functioning when everything around me is going sideways. I look like I might start the bar fight. There’s a pretty good chance I’m actually in the kitchen making everybody dinner.
