Larry J. Appel

With more than 40 years of experience spanning acting, broadcasting, voiceover, and business leadership, Larry Appel brings a unique combination of performance, communication, and professional expertise to his work. Larry's interest in performing began as a preteen child actor, touring throughout the state with a children's theatre company. During his teenage years, he expanded his experience through documentary films, local television, and community theatre. In the summer of 1976, he further developed his theatrical skills at Pioneer Playhouse, the historic summer stock theatre in Danville, Kentucky. His high school years included three years of theatre involvement, both on stage and behind the scenes as a lighting and sound director. While attending college, Larry became involved with the campus radio station and worked professionally as a traffic reporter for Metro Traffic Control, reporting from both ground units and aircraft. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and later an MBA in Leadership, combining his communications background with decades of business and leadership experience. Since 2001, Larry has continued his passion for broadcasting as a part-time on-air personality at four regional radio stations. He also works as a voiceover artist, drawing upon decades of experience behind the microphone and in front of audiences. Today, Larry brings together a lifetime of acting, broadcasting, voice work, communications, and business leadership—offering the professionalism of a seasoned business executive with the creativity, versatility, and presence of a lifelong performer.
