Matthew Kenneth Gray

I was always more into Songwriting in High School, but I was involved in Theatre productions too. I played the lead (Daniel Webster) in The Devil & Daniel Webster in Junior Year, while doing a Jimmy Durante bit in Standing Room Only, a group ensemble piece. Senior year, I was cast as Leandre, the romantic in Molieré's "The Doctor in Spite of Himself." and the following year, I assisted in the creation of "Stop Running Away!" a Rock Musical we created together. I the show, I played "Matt" - a singer who wanted badly to be part of Prior Engagement, the rock band in the show. I wrote lyrics and lines. I then went on to collaborate with Phil Harrington on songs in a band called funfolk. After going solo, I signed to ASCAP as a writer/publisher. Songs I've co-written are now on major steaming platforms like Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify Deezer, SoundCloud, Tidal and more. Acting is what I've returned to based on my maturity and older, more sophisticated look.
