I’m an actor because I’ve always been fascinated by people like their stories, their contradictions, the things they say out loud and the things they keep hidden. For me, acting is about getting underneath a character and finding the truth in them. I’m drawn to women who are layered, passionate, imperfect, strong, soft, funny, complicated, and deeply human. But I’m also especially drawn to characters who are completely different from who I am in real life. I love the challenge of stepping outside of myself and discovering a part of a person I may never have understood otherwise. I don’t want to always play the version of myself that feels familiar. I want to be transformed by the characters I play. My background in dance, leadership, and working closely with people has taught me to observe, listen, connect, and understand different perspectives. Those experiences have shaped the kind of actor I want to be: emotionally honest, curious, fearless, and willing to go somewhere uncomfortable if that’s where the story needs me to go. I don’t want to act just to be seen. I want to tell stories that make people feel something.. to laugh, ache, recognize themselves, or see someone else a little differently.
