I am a bilingual Registered Nurse, mother, immigrant, and storyteller whose life has taken me through experiences I never imagined. Born and raised in Cameroon, I have lived in the United States for 16 years and in Hawaii since 2012. I speak English, French, Bafut, and Pidgin English. Before becoming a nurse, I worked as a bilingual Executive Assistant in Africa, supporting government and international non-governmental projects. I also spent five years with a Japanese architectural firm and worked on a major World Bank development project. My journey has included marriage, motherhood, abuse, divorce, homelessness, public assistance, and navigating an unfamiliar legal and social system as an immigrant. I rebuilt my life and became a Registered Nurse. Today, I work as a hospital float nurse across multiple specialties, including the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Telemetry, Cardiac, Burn, and Orthopedic units. These experiences have taught me the power of human behavior, silence, body language, fear, resilience, and compassion. I believe they have given me something that cannot be learned entirely in a classroom: the ability to understand people. I am now exploring acting and storytelling as another way to connect with others, especially through roles requiring emotional depth, authenticity, cultural range, resilience, and strong female presence.
