Vivian L. King

One day, I want to write a musical. In the meantime, this is who I am. I am an award-winning author, speaker, communications consultant, and connector whose vision is to help elementary school students become kinder for a kinder world. I founded Vivian L. King Connections LLC in 2019, the same year I wrote my first book, “When the Words Suddenly Stopped: Finding My Voice Again After a Massive Stroke.” I have since written, “Grace Welcomes the Lady Next Door: Book 1 in the Growing up Polite Series.” Both books are award winning and were Amazon bestsellers. I am also a professionally trained voice actor and moderator and often emcee and participate in workshops and forums. Before founding my business, I served as Vice President of Community Relations at Aurora Health Care, where I oversaw community sponsorships and caregiver engagement in the community throughout Aurora’s footprint in eastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Prior to working at Aurora, I served as Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Media Relations for Roundy’s Supermarkets, where I was chief spokesperson for the company and worked closely with developing the company’s profile on social media and awarding community donations through the Roundy’s Foundation. My background is in journalism. During my award-winning broadcast career, I worked as an anchor/reporter at television stations in Alexandria, Louisiana; Tyler, Texas; and Battle Creek, Michigan before moving to Milwaukee, where I spent more than 10 years at WTMJ-TV, the NBC affiliate.
