Yazen Amra

Yazen Amra is an Arab - American, born in Ohio, lived in Mississippi and Saudi Arabia before going to university in Raleigh, NC where he started performing stand up*.  Trained to look in a microscope for cellular abnormalities, he has traded the microscope for the microphone to scope out abnormalities in everyday life. His self-deprecating, brazen, observational humor in talking about issues of our day such as family, culture, religion and dating make it easier and fun to digest. Experience in the stand up comedy world, performed 3x at Arab American Comedy festival at Gotham comedy club. Performed in open mics, shows and festivals across the nation.
