By accessing or using Casting Companion (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
Casting Companion is an online software platform that helps performers get in front of casting opportunities through AI-powered matching, profile scoring, and submission management. We provide tools for talent to create casting profiles and for casting directors, production teams, and brands to search, filter, and manage talent for their projects.
Casting Companion is a matching and submission tool. We are not a talent agency, talent manager, or employment agency, and we do not represent you. We are not casting directors, producers, or employers, and we do not make casting decisions, run auditions, negotiate on your behalf, or take a commission on any work you book.
Casting calls on the Service are posted by, or gathered from, third-party casting directors, production teams, and brands who are solely responsible for their projects, hiring decisions, and the terms of any work. Any agreement you enter into with a casting professional is between you and them. We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee any casting call, production, or person who uses the Service, and you should exercise your own judgment before sharing information, attending an audition, or accepting work.
The Service is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Service in any way. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or older. We do not knowingly accept minors, parents and guardians may not create accounts on behalf of anyone under 18, and we will close any account we learn belongs to a minor.
You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
We do not sell your personal information. We share the information in your casting profile with casting directors, production teams, and brands only when our matching identifies you as a fit for their project or when you submit yourself to a casting call, so they can consider you for that opportunity. That is the purpose of the Service and the only reason we pass your profile to a third party.
We also use service providers (such as payment processing, email delivery, and hosting) to operate the Service on our behalf. Details are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Every member has a public profile page at a shareable castingcompanion.com link that shows the casting-relevant parts of your profile (name, headshots and reels, bio, city and state, skills, credits, the links you add, casting score, and AI-generated casting notes) and never your email address, phone number, ZIP code, or billing details. Casting professionals use these pages to review and share you.
By using the Service you agree that your public profile page may be indexed by search engines such as Google, so casting professionals can find you by searching. Only complete profiles of adult members are offered for indexing. You can withdraw from search engine indexing at any time with the “Hide my profile from search engines” setting in your profile; your page then remains reachable by its link and visible to casting professionals on the platform. Search engines may take time to remove pages they have already indexed, which is outside our control.
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including photos, profile information, and other materials. By submitting content, you grant Casting Companion a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with providing the Service.
Certain features of the Service require payment. All payments are processed through Stripe. Prices are listed at the time of purchase. Subscription plans may be cancelled at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information; harass, abuse, or harm other users; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service without permission; or interfere with the proper functioning of the Service.
Casting Companion provides tools and matching services to increase your visibility to casting professionals. We do not guarantee casting placement, callbacks, auditions, or employment. Results vary based on profile completeness, market demand, and production needs.
The Service, including its design, logos, software, and content (excluding user-submitted content), is owned by Casting Companion and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Casting Companion shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new terms on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
