The Best of Us, a six-episode limited series for Paramount+, is casting background actors to portray 2001-era pedestrians on New York City streets. Shoots run October through December 2026.
You must be local to the New York/New Jersey metro area. Any adult who can portray a pedestrian from 2001 is eligible. If you own a vehicle from 2005 or earlier, bring it — the car earns a separate $250 period car bump on top of your performer day rate. Everyday sedans from the era are what the production is looking for; this is not a classic-car call.
SAG-AFTRA members are paid $231 for 8 hours. Non-union performers are paid $187 for 10 hours. The $250 car bump applies on top of either rate.
Casting is handled by Grant Wilfley Casting. Submit current, unedited photos — a plain-light selfie and a full-body shot taken within the past week, no filters, no hats, no glasses.
