About Chris
Chris is the kind of man who believes life is meant to be lived fully—on the water, in the air, on the open road, and alongside the people who matter most. A proud Georgia native, he has built a life around adventure, discipline, craftsmanship, and faith.
Chris served eight years in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman, rising to the rank of Sergeant. The values he learned there—hard work, leadership, and resilience—have guided him ever since. After his military service, he continued pursuing demanding professions, including working in law enforcement and earning his U.S. Coast Guard 200-Ton Master Captain’s license. As a professional mariner, he captained 385-foot offshore supply vessels out of Port Fourchon in the Gulf of Mexico and later ran the Chichagof Dream cruise ship in Sitka, Alaska.
Adventure has always been part of Chris’s DNA. He is a licensed pilot who enjoys spontaneous day trips by air, a longtime skydiver, and a certified scuba diver who loves exploring beneath the surface just as much as soaring above it. On the water he operates both inshore and offshore boats, and after completing his American Sailing Association certifications, he is now qualified to sail internationally.
On land, Chris enjoys the freedom of the open road. He owns a 38-foot diesel pusher motorhome and a 2022 travel trailer, embracing what he jokingly calls “glamping”—comfortably exploring the country while staying close to nature. Motorcycles are another passion, and his garage currently holds more bikes than he probably needs, though he’d argue every one of them has its purpose.
Chris is also a skilled craftsman. He enjoys woodworking—particularly building high-end cutting boards from exotic hardwoods—as well as making liquor bottle candles, soaps, and wax melts. He reloads his own ammunition and competes in shooting sports as a firearms instructor. In the kitchen he is equally at home, known among friends and family as an excellent cook who enjoys techniques like sous-vide and culinary infusions.
Despite the many adventures, Chris considers his greatest role to be that of a father. He shares a close bond with his daughter, who recently graduated high school while simultaneously earning her associate’s degree and CNA certification. She is preparing to enter the Army to become a flight nurse. The two spend time fishing, kayaking, and flying together, and she already has over 500 hours in the air working toward her private pilot certificate. She also competes in English hunter-jumper equestrian events.
Chris describes himself simply as a conservative Christian who believes in working hard, living honestly, and enjoying the freedom that comes with both. He has never smoked, never used drugs, and prefers a good glass of white wine or a well-made cocktail when it’s time to relax.
Looking ahead, Chris has a clear vision for the next chapter of life. His dream is to spend seven months each year sailing to beautiful islands and countries around the world, then return to his home port of Brunswick, Georgia, before setting out again for five months of traveling the United States in his motorhome.
For Chris, life has always been about motion—learning new skills, exploring new places, and building a life defined not by comfort, but by experience.
