Kemet Maroon — Professional Acting Bio Long before music, entrepreneurship, or any of his other creative pursuits, acting was the first profession Kemet Maroon ever dreamed of pursuing. Growing up in a single-parent household raised by his mother, however, the path toward becoming a professional actor did not always feel accessible or realistic to him. Without seeing a clear opportunity to enter the industry at an early age, he followed other creative paths—but performing never left his life. In many ways, every stage he stepped onto was preparing him to eventually return to his original dream. Kemet grew up performing in talent shows and developed a natural comfort with being in front of an audience from an early age. His musical foundation included playing the clarinet and saxophone, as well as performing in a Djembe orchestra rooted in African drumming traditions. His diverse performance experience expanded into poetry, hip-hop, rap, reggae, stilt walking, public speaking, and numerous live stage appearances. Kemet has performed at the historic Academy of Music Theatre in Northampton, Massachusetts, and has theatrical experience portraying a king in a stage production. Through theater, he gained experience reading and interpreting scripts, memorizing dialogue, developing a character, and delivering dramatic theatrical performances before a live audience. One of Kemet’s greatest strengths as a performer is his commanding presence. Decades of performing and public speaking have made him exceptionally comfortable in front of large audiences. He communicates confidently, projects his voice naturally, maintains strong eye contact, and understands how to capture and hold an audience’s attention. His personality also gives him considerable range as a performer. Kemet can bring intensity, authority, confidence, and dramatic expression to a character while also possessing a naturally humorous and engaging personality. His extensive experience in music and live performance has taught him timing, rhythm, improvisational awareness, emotional expression, and how to read and respond to an audience. Kemet also brings a strong physical presence to his work. He maintains a lean, fit, athletic build through regular gym training and has experience in boxing as well as foundational martial arts and self-defense training. His athleticism and physical coordination provide a strong foundation for physically demanding, action-oriented, and movement-based roles. Beyond acting, Kemet’s experiences as a musician, recording artist, entrepreneur, creative professional, and motivational speaker have strengthened his ability to communicate, adapt, and connect authentically with people from many different backgrounds. I was always into performing arts ever since I was 6 yrs old, I use to perform in events, little miss beauty pageants, I dance, act love singing although I’m not very good at it. Acting and Dancing is my passion.

Hi, I’m Mary! I can act, and I am a trained singer and dancer, and I am capable of a few different accents. I can speak English, German, French, and Japanese. I am currently working on Mandarin. My appearance is quite youthful, I am frequently asked “What school do you go to?” I also appear taller than my actual stature, because of my long legs. I’m a native of North Carolina, so I can do a Southern accent very well, but I normally have a more standard, untraceable American accent. I’m very fit, and have great skin.

I've been performing in the world of stage theater for over 20 years, with roles ranging from a corpse to lead roles in musicals. Over the past 10 years, I've been part of 2 live interactive dinner theater companies, one that involves live singing during dinner time, the other a murder mystery company. Within the past 5 years, I've been working on several local films, shorts, and web series. I most certainly will travel for the right opportunities.
