Before recently retiring from law enforcement, I spent years working in broadcast media as a news anchor and photojournalist, mastering live television and on-camera storytelling. I once hid in the bathroom when company came over, a painfully shy little girl. I decided not long after that if I wanted to get anywhere in life I’d have to get over the shyness. I joined every talent show and school play. I now am very outgoing, to the embarrassment of my siblings. Single, no kids, ready to go anywhere to do anything. No phobias. First to volunteer to put an insect or arachnid outside, stick my hand in poop to retrieve something, stop traffic to save a baby squirrel (that all happened). Best features are my eyes and smile.

My name is Preslie Sparks, yes that is my real name 😝 I was born in NC raised in Maine where I currently live. I am a salon owner in Biddeford and the definition of type A. Growing up I’ve always been told I should model/act. I grew up dancing though I wouldn’t say I’m above intermediate, and I’ve always been told I’m very good at mimicking people and their facial expressions/voices. I’m very out going and easy to get along with and I typically grasp new things very fast. I have zero experience in acting but with current social media I have become comfortable in front of a camera to help support my business!

I have not been in a theatrical production since my college years. I was active in drama, chorus and musical theater during high school. I had the experience of being assistant director for our college production of Pal Joey, which included a local newscaster and some community theater actors. Since then I have been a registered nurse for 40 years, more than 20 of them at the bedside. I have been adjunct clinical faculty and a nursing education specialist. I also raised 2 girls, was married to a professional musician for 10 years and occasionally performed with him. Recently I was asked to participate on a focus group about Maine politics. It was aired on YouTube.

I am a 38 year old widowed mother of 1. I have a 13 year old daughter who looks so much like me my own mother can't tell who's who sometimes. I am a Jill of all trades. I've worked as a cosmetologist, CNA, Carpenter, a few minutes ago I was turning wrenches working on my car. I have a lift where I live and I've spent my whole life basically having to figure stuff out the hard way, but it's built me a boat load of character. I lost my only sibling to suicide by gun in 2013 and a bf of 5 years the same week as her burial. These days I'm doing all I can to heal, be healthier, take good care of myself and the people around me, which includes my job as an in home health aide. I have my motorcycle license, and have been obsessed with bikes since I was a child. Was influenced a lot by my Papa in his auto body shop. My grandmother actually got to shake president Roosevelts hand, after doing a presentation for him. At the Springfield Armory, she was the fastest assembler of the M1 Gerande Rifle. She had the sharpest and most unique witt. I'm a lot like her, I have zero filter. Two of my other grand parents raced cars. I have always had a pull toward acting/modeling. Fashion and the expression through clothing has always been something I love and have gravitated towards. Watching actors growing up, I always had a fascination with how they built this character and almost become a whole new person. This has inspired me to not only watch and learn from the TV but strive to get into acting myself.
