High Priestess of Souls is an independent feature film directed by Pete Lee and starring Joan Chen, shooting in and around San Francisco's Chinatown from October 20 through November 17. The production is looking for Chinese or Chinese-appearing talent, ages 18–75, to play pedestrians, market shoppers, restaurant patrons, business owners, and community members across various shoot days within that window.
No prior experience is required. Your submission packet must include one recent full-length photo and one recent close-up of your face — current photos, not old headshots. You also need to list every language you speak (Cantonese is particularly relevant to this production) and provide your full availability across the entire October 20–November 17 date range. A submission that names the specific days you are free beats a vague "flexible" every time.
This is a SAG-AFTRA call paying $231 for 8 hours. Casting is handled by Henninger Kliban Casting, the San Francisco office of Nina Henninger, CSA, working with Sarah Kliban. Because the shoot runs in waves through mid-November, keep your profile current and be reachable the same day a new date posts.
