Directors browsing talent see small badges on each card showing whether someone has been around recently and whether they tend to reply. The most common complaint directors have about talent databases is chasing people who never write back, so these badges help the people who are reachable get found.
Activity
- Active this week - you have used your account in the last seven days.
- Active this month - within the last thirty days.
- Active recently - within the last ninety days.
Past that, no activity badge is shown. Signing in, updating your profile and submitting to roles all count, so simply using the platform keeps this current.
Responsiveness
This one counts whether you answered an introduction request, not how you answered it.
That is deliberate. Casting Companion tells you to accept an introduction only when you are actually interested, and scoring you on how often you say yes would quietly turn that choice into an obligation. So a prompt "no thanks" is good behaviour here, and it is treated as such.
- Usually responds - you reply to most requests.
- Sometimes responds - you reply to some.
There is no negative badge. If you have not answered many requests, or you are new and have not had any yet, no responsiveness badge appears at all - nothing is displayed that would count against you.
What this means in practice
- Answer introduction requests either way rather than leaving them.
- Sign in periodically, especially if you are between jobs and want to stay visible.
- These badges sit alongside, and do not replace, your Casting Score and profile quality.
