Born and raised in South Carolina, Catherine is now based in southwest Idaho with her family. Catherine has studied acting at Boise Contemporary Theater and Boise Acting Studio, but more consistently studies under LA's Shaan Sharma at The Storyteller's Conservatory. Catherine has been cast in local commercials and indie productions. While her love for acting began as a child and was pursued through adolescence on stage, she now aspires to continue film acting in thought-provoking films that stir wonder, evoke strong emotions, unveil truths, and add beauty to the world. Her natural knack for comedy also excites her horizon. After graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, Catherine started working in corporate accounting. When Catherine became a homeschooling mom, she also volunteered in various teaching and nonprofit bookkeeping roles for about 12 years. In 2024, Catherine ventured out, again, onto the beloved stage when she performed as the comedic housekeeper, Mrs. Brill, in the musical "Mary Poppins." When Catherine is not acting or spending time with family, she is a part-time nonprofit bookkeeper for Glocal Community Partners, a nonprofit that serves refugees in Boise, ID.

Josh Janssen, actor in Boise, Idaho - headshot
Josh Janssen
Boise, Idaho
Ages 25-655'9"Non-union

Josh Janssen brings 35 years of real-world fire service and emergency command experience to his work as an actor. His career has taken him from remote wildfire deployments, where he lived and worked in the wilderness for 20 to 30 days at a time, to commanding some of the most complex emergency incidents imaginable. As an Operations Chief and Incident Commander, Josh has led personnel through major fires, floods, mudslides, hurricanes, dam emergencies, pandemics, and other high-risk, rapidly evolving incidents. These experiences required him to remain calm when circumstances were anything but calm, make critical decisions with limited information, and lead thousands of people through situations where the consequences were very real. That experience translates naturally to the screen. Josh brings an authentic command presence, confidence under pressure, situational awareness, and emotional restraint developed over decades of leadership in real emergencies. It is a lived-in quality that is difficult to manufacture and impossible to fully teach in acting school. When Josh portrays a fire officer, law-enforcement leader, military commander, executive, or other authority figure, he doesn't have to imagine what it feels like to carry responsibility when everyone in the room is looking to you for the next decision. He has lived it. That experience translates into an instinctive authenticity on camera, particularly in roles requiring leadership, confidence, composure, and authority. Some characters are studied. Others have been lived.

I’m a career clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience working with people from all walks of life. Before entering the social work profession, I served seven years in the U.S. Army, bringing discipline, resilience, professionalism, and a grounded sense of authenticity to every role. I can also deliver a convincing expletive when the character calls for it. My acting experience began with a lead performance as Alice in my high school production of Alice in Wonderland. A recording of the 1991 CHS High School production is available on YouTube. I’m comfortable portraying a social worker, counselor, therapist, military veteran, professional, mother, or grandmother. I also bring a playful, adventurous, and compassionate side to my work. My special skills include swimming, horseback riding, and working comfortably around animals. I have multiple tattoos that can be featured or covered depending on production needs. With extensive real-life experience, emotional range, warmth, and authenticity, I’m interested in lead and supporting roles, commercials, and background work. I currently work Tuesday-Friday. Spokane airport is my closest airport for transportation accommodation. My neighbor for 6 years prior to my divorce, was Ellen Travolta, should you need a reference of the quality human I am. Thank you for this consideration.

I am a third generation sheep and cattle rancher in remote Idaho/Nevada border high desert/mountain country and the Grandson of Basque immigrants. I speak Basque and Spanish. I grew up cowboying and running sheep. I worked in the lambing sheds and corrals in the winter and moved cattle and sheep in the Spring, Summer and Fall both on horseback and on foot starting before sun up and often working until dusk in all kinds of good as well as punishing weather. It is a lifestyle that is demanding and toughens you like no other. I also practiced law for 30 years and was a highly successful litigation attorney and practiced both civil and criminal law. I have 10 years law enforcement experience; eight years as a Deputy Prosecutor and Special Deputy Attorney General for Idaho and 26 months as a Volunteer Back Country Deputy Sheriff for remote Owyhee County, Idaho where I served with no backup for 2 hours on a good day. I loved it. At age 63 I completed eight weeks in the Peace Officer Academy and am qualified on firearms, stand up and ground fighting, timed runs and other law enforcement skills. In my 50’s I fought twice in the USA Master’s Boxing Division. I had to stop fighting due to damage to my right I that I sustained over the years. I’m a Catholic & 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and volunteer in Disaster Relief.
